PTE Gino Lu

Oh, how I have abandoned my blog for so long! My life in the past few months has been 'meh'. Yea, just 'meh'. I enlisted into NS on the 11th December after the most awesome laze-fest at Phuket, and a week after saying goodbye to the horrendous Alevels. I completed my BMT on the 8th of April, after 4 gruelling months as a nobody in camp. A mere Recruit termed by many of the instructors as the lowest of lifeforms; the sperm that has yet to fertilize with the egg. But now it is with much pride that I write 'PTE Gino Lu' (Private) down on the Book in/Book out book every time I book out. A Private is next to nobody and it is many more months before I will ascend into the ranks of corporal (if ever), not that I really give a damn about what rank I achieve in NS.

I am also out of the much vaunted Commandos (though that is probably an understatement) and am now a very proud clerk. Clerks hold a much important job within the hierarchical prison that is SAF! Imagine this, SAF could probably do away with lesser soldiers but alas, it can not do away with lesser clerks - imagine the chaos it'll cause. I shudder at the mere thought of the universe-scale repercussions. It is a frightening thought indeed.
